REGULAR MAINTENANCE SERVICES

  • FLUID EXCHANGES

LUBE, OIL & FILTER CHANGE

When recommended ?

Every 5,000 km or 3 months, whichever comes first. Some vehicles require less frequent servicing, so check your owner's manual to be sure.

Why do it?

Regular oil changes for preventative maintenance are cheap insurance against engine wear, and will always save you money in the long run. An engine's main line of defense against abrasion and the premature wear it causes is the oil & filter. The filter's job is to remove solid contaminants such as dirt, carbon and metal particles from the oil before they can cause any damage. Chassis lube helps maintain a longer life of front chassis parts, also helping save money.

COOLING SYSTEM FLUSH

When recommended ?

Every 40,000 km or 2 years for most vehicles.

Why do it?

Coolant protects against freezing, which is why it is referred to as antifreeze. Coolant also protects against corrosion and helps lubricate your water pump. When the coolant breaks down, sludge and rust form, clogging passages within the radiator and heater, which reduce the flow of the coolant. Reduced coolant flow can cause your vehicle to overheat in the summer. As well as causing poor interior cabin heating in the winter.

TRANSMISSION FLUID SERVICE

When recommended ?

Every 40,000 km or 2 years for most vehicles.

Why do it?

Servicing your transmission is similar to servicing your engine. The transmission oil and filter require replacement to reduce contaminate build up from fluid breakdown caused by debris and heat within your transmission. These contaminates, if not removed, eventually cause premature wear to moving parts.

POWER STEERING FLUSH

When recommended ?

Every 60,000 km or 3 years for most vehicles.

Why do it?

Over time, the power steering fluid properties that protect the seals, O'rings and other components of the power steering system break down. This contaminated fluid makes the system work harder causing excessive wear & tear on the power steering pump. In turn, making it harder to steer and keep control of your vehicle.

BRAKE FLUID FLUSH

When recommended ?

Every 60,000 km or 3 years for most vehicles.

Why do it?

Brake fluid is a key component to making sure your braking system is working properly. Brake fluid is designed as a fluid that attracts and retains moisture. Moisture can cause rust to form inside your braking components. Internal damage and corrosion leading to component failure of your ABS system can also happen .

  • FILTER REPLACEMENTS

Engine Air Filter

When recommended ?

Every 10,000 - 20,000 km depending on your driving conditions. Should be inspected during every oil change.

Why do it?

The air filter traps dirt particles, which can cause damage to engine components. Reduced fuel economy and loss of engine performance are a result of a plugged air filter.

Cabin Air Filter

When recommended ?

Every 20,000 km or 1 year depending on your driving conditions.

Why do it?

The purpose of the cabin filter is to filter the air entering the passenger compartment of your vehicle. Just like a furnace filter, it picks up all the dust, pollen and pollutants you don't want in your vehicle.

Fuel Filter

When recommended ?

Every 40,000 km or 2 years for most vehicles.

Why do it?

A fuel filter is to the fuel delivery system, just as a oil filter is to your engine, it prevents harmful contaminants from entering as the fuel leaves your fuel tank. When the filter becomes clogged and contaminated, it restricts the flow of fuel resulting in poor engine performance. It also puts more stress on the fuel pump itself.

  • OTHER MAINTENANCE SERVICES

Brake System Service

When recommended ?

Every 20,000 km or 1 year.

Why do it ?

Your braking system is one of the most important systems on your vehicle. This service is required to make sure that your system working properly by applying even distribution of pressure to all the hydraulic components by ensuring the free movement of the calipers and wheel cylinders. By removing, cleaning, lubrication and adjusting these items, premature brake wear can be avoided.

 Wheel Balance

When recommended?

Once per year or either when purchasing new tires or having problems.

Why do it?

Wheels need to be properly balanced in order to avoid premature wear or replacement of your tires, suspension, alignment and steering components. Tires that are unevenly balanced can cause the steering wheel to vibrate at higher speeds.

Tire Rotation

When recommended ?

Every 10,000 km (or every other oil change).

Why do it?

If there are any issues with your alignment, wheel balancing or front end steering and suspension components, rotating your tires will help to extend the life of them by making sure they wear evenly.
